Frequently Asked Question
My Antivirus or Firewall software says this file is a virus, unsafe, etc?
Last Updated 7 years ago
If it's our exe and came from SureThing.com, then it is not a virus. These are called false positives.
To be safe that the file you downloaded is correct, or hasn't been hijacked by a virus or trojan already on your computer, check the Signature. Just follow the instructions below.
1. If you go to your downloads folder, find the setup file, right click on it and hit Properties.
2. Click on the Digital Signatures tab, and then select the signer and ht Details:
3. As you can see it all checks out because it is signed by MicroVision Development. This means any error message by your firewall or antivirus software is incorrect, and the software is 100% safe.
Note: If the signature says anything other than that, then the file you downloaded did not come from us, or has been hijacked by a virus or trojan already on your computer. Please re-download and install the SureThing software directly from SureThing.com, or contact your Antivirus software provider for more information.
